Cfengine 1.1 is released

Cfengine Nova 1.1 is the bi-annual upgrade of the Nova edition, containing new features and bug fixes for new and existing users. New in this release is native support for Windows platforms, including registry management and Windows service support. Nova 1.1 offers an updated semantic Knowledge Map featuring a clearer, improved style and new reports for compliance troubleshooting and business value. Improved custom logging and reporting features have also been added.
This release also brings new point-to-point server communication extensions for distributed scheduling, allowing handling of a broad range of decentralized workflow management issues. These complement the existing integration with directory services and shared variable contexts for decentralized, scalable management.
Significant effort has been aimed at providing a single consistent cross-platform approach to Software Deployment and Management. A complete package based update system is provided for Linux, Solaris, FreeBSD and Windows platforms, etc. This enables a single point of management for fully automated software upgrades.
