Cfengine.3
Cfengine version 3 is the upcoming Next Generation implementation of the cfengine software. It will be available under the GPL v3 license and a dual commerical license for integration into third party products. Cfengine 3 is a major rewrite of cfengine, preserving the key principles and code which has made cfengine valued by experts, but replacing the organically grown cfengine language with a new, powerful service-oriented language that maximizes the power of cfengine's autonomous promise model. The new version will be able to coexist with existing cfengine 2 deployments, to ease the transition for users.
Cfengine 3 is expected to be released in January 2009.
